PRESENTATION TITLE:

"Input Session on Error Correction"

On the CELTA course, the lessons that you teach and are assessed on are backed up by the theory and practical know-how that you get from the daily input sessions. Think of them as workshops where you not only learn about the most modern teaching methods, but also have the chance to practice some of the techniques covered, so you are fully prepared when doing teaching practice.

In this input session, we will be looking at various ways of correcting language errors in the classroom. The main focus is on the what, the when and the how: what kinds of mistakes we can expect from our learners, when it is appropriate - or even imperative - to correct them, and how we can do it in the most effective manner. This session is full of practical advice and interactive demonstrations of error-correcting techniques, meaning you will be able to apply them straight away in your own lessons.

----------

Georgiana Bose is a CELTA tutor, an in-house mentor for teachers, a Cambridge exams manager, an international conference speaker and a book co-writer.

She grew into her role of a teacher, did the CELTA course, got her DELTA qualification and is currently a CELTA tutor at Shakespeare School, the first CELTA Centre in Romania.
